And so we begin!

I have my camera back! Here is my first outfit post in this lovely little blog.

It is gorgeous out today. 66 degrees! I broke out the cutoffs but wore a cardigan and boots to stay a little warm.

I couldn't figure out a way to get a full body shot. I'm sure I will get better at this as time goes on.
The boots are probably my favorite thing in my closet. They're leather western boots from DSW. They were on clearance when I bought them- down to $50 from $150. YES PLEASE.
Not a terribly exciting outfit, but since I can't really afford to buy ~nicer pieces, I have to live with what I have.
Cardigan: H&M
V-neck: Forever 21
Shorts: ??? No tag, a pair of jeans I hacked up last summer.
Boots: DSW

I'll be up and running soon! I'm currently working on trying to fix a broken camera. I should be able to start posting outfits in a few days. In the meantime, allow me to formally introduce myself.

I'm Alisse. This is my awkward face. I'm like any other clothing-obsessed college girl. I'm 21 and live in a really boring town in Massachusetts, USA. I have six cats, but only one is actually mine. For the most part, I shop at Forever 21. I have some pieces from Urban Outfitters, H&M, and Charlotte Russe. See? Pretty typical.

This autumn, I'll be moving in with my boyfriend and need to start saving up, so I'll be buying less clothes and alcohol, and putting more $$ in my savings account. I will not use my webcam regularly for this blog- I promise!

Anything else you'd like to know- ask away!

Spirit of '76

How exciting is it to start your own blog? I mean, one that you'll actually use and write in regularly. This little blog, named after a pinball machine, is here for ... well, myself. You see, I'm a fashion lover. Can't call myself an addict (I don't do the runway stuff) but I love style, looking good, and most of all- shopping. I'm on a budget, though. A tight one. 90% of my wardrobe comes from Forever 21, with a few Urban Outfitters pieces thrown in for good measure.

So this blog is here to teach myself to shop my closet, create new outfits with the clothes I already own. So sit back and enjoy; hopefully, as I find new ways to dress myself, you'll find it helpful, too.

(I just couldn't resist this shirt when I saw it at Heritage 1981. Made me think of the ancient pinball machine my grandpa had in his basement.)
